P2L Sports Leadership

SCQF Level 4 Award in Sports Leadership will give learners the chance to develop their organisation, motivation and communication skills. They will also gain confidence and other core skills that will benefit them in all sporting environments. They will learn how to plan and deliver a structured sport/physical activity session, know how to assist in the delivery of a sport/physical activity session and ability to review a sport/physical activity session.
SCQF Level 4 Award in Sports Leadership is a qualification that is nationally recognised by colleges and UCAS and can be used to gain employment in the sports industry and Play2Learn Sports Coaching.
We welcome everyone aged 12 years+ and must be in S2. There are no prerequisites to gain this qualification.
The course length is 45 hours which includes 27 tutored hours and 1 hour demonstration of leadership.
Once qualified, you will be able to assist in the delivery of enjoyable and purposeful sport or physical activity session under direct supervision.
Please note participants must attend every day and activity to gain the qualification.
You will gain 5 SCQF credit points and SCQF Level 4 Award in Sports Leadership.

SCQF Level 5 Award in Sports Leadership will give learners the chance to develop their organisation, motivation and communication skills. They will also gain confidence and other core skills that will benefit them in all sporting environments. The main objectives from SL5 are understand different types of sports/physical activity events, be able to assist in the planning/delivery of a sport/physical activity event, be able to evaluate a sport/physical activity event and deliver a sport/physical activity session under direct supervision.
SCQF Level 5 Award in Sports Leadership is a qualification that is nationally recognised by colleges and UCAS and can be used to gain employment in the sports industry and Play2Learn Sports Coaching.
We welcome everyone aged 13 years+. To gain this qualification you must have completed SCQF Level 4.
The course length is 65 hours which includes 32 tutored hours and 10 hours of demonstration of leadership.
Once qualified, you will be able to lead safe, purposeful and enjoyable sport/physical activity under indirect supervision (once aged 16)
Please note participants must attend every day and activity to gain the qualification.
You will gain 7 SCQF credit points and SCQF Level 5 Award in Sports Leadership.
